Richard J. Kentile, Sr., age 76, of 27 McLaughlin, Tupper Lake, died Saturday, April 03, 2010 at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.
Born in Tupper Lake, New York on February 02, 1934, he was the son of Herbert and Beatrice (Pinell) Kentile. He married Eula Reid September 19, 1959 in St. Alphonsus Church in Tupper Lake.
Mr. Kentile was a lifelong resident of Tupper Lake and had been employed by the village of Tupper Lake as an heavy equipment operator for 13 years until his retirement in 1995. Prior to that he had been employed at Elliot Hardwood for 15 years until they closed. Mr. Kentile is a veteran of the United States Army serving from 1956 to 1958.
He is survived by his wife Eula Kentile, two sons Raymond Kentile and his wife Deanna and Richard Kentile, Jr. both of Tupper Lake, two daughters Lisa Drasye and her husband Gordon and Rebecca St. Louis and her husband Kevin both of Tupper Lake, one brother Hebert "Bucky" Kentile and his wife Donna of Tupper Lake, two sisters Loretta Jourdan of Rochester and Arlene Campbell of Baldwinsville, 14 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren , and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and mother.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Tupper Lake. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday April 6, 2010 at St. Alphonsus Church with Rev. Raymond Moreau officiating. Burial will follow in St. Alphonsus Cemetery with military honors.
