Saranac Lake- Alicia Anne Kennedy, 78, of 14 Kiwassa Rd., Saranac Lake formerly of Tupper Lake passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 23rd. Born on April 16, 1932 in Waterbury, VT., she was the daughter of Frank Kelley and Bertha Niles. She is pre-deceased by her husband and best friend of 45 years, William Derrick Kennedy. She was also pre-deceased by two daughters, Alicia Anne and Lynn Marie. Alicia leaves behind seven children; Walter Kennedy and his wife Jeanie of Tupper Lake, Florence Tyler and her husband David of Saranac Lake, Catherine Mitchell and her husband Gilbert of St. Regis, Quebec, William Kennedy Jr., of Saranac Lake, Edith Kennedy and her fiancé Vincent Green of Williamsburg, VA, Mary Leeret and her husband Christopher of Lake Clear and last but not least, Kenneth Kennedy (Pyke) of Madrid, NY. As a dearly loved grandmother, she will be missed by 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. "Our Mom and grandmother was genuine and never judged, she was always open to indifference and change. Through everything she remained positive and kind. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 27 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm with a funeral service being held at 8pm at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Tupper Lake.
