Allan Dwain Kaklins of Saranac Lake passed away Saturday May 26th, 2018 in the comfort of his home.
Allan was born March 19th, 1961 in Mt. Kisco New York.
Allan moved to Saranac Lake in 1999 where he found a wonderful place to live.
Allan enjoyed sitting outside in his gazebo listening to the birds. If Allan was not in his gazebo he could be found sitting in the living room window where he would sit and watch birds and small animals for hours.
Allan over the years got involved in constructing a catapult for the pumpkin heaving contest in Vermontville. He also built a derby car for children to drive in the local derby races for two years. Throughout the community you may even come across a bird house that Allan had built and placed. He was known for all his bird houses through trails and businesses.
Allan is survived by his Brother Ivor Kaklins of Massachusetts, and a very close friend Wanita Richardson of Tennessee.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. Friends wishing to celebrate Allan's life are invited to his home for a Barbeque and memorial service at his gazebo at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, June 6th, 2018.
