Charles G. Johnson, age 73, formerly of Bloomingdale, died Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at AMC-Uihlein in Lake Placid.
Born in Bloomingdale, New York on October 08, 1936, he was the son of Charles and Ethel (Skiff) Johnson.
Charles is a life long resident of the area and had been employed by F.P. VanCour and Sons in Bloomingdale for many years until his retirement.
He is survived by two sisters Aedele LaBrake of Malone, NY and Mrs. Carlton (Phyllis) King of Vermontville, NY; two brothers Francis Johnson of Saranac Lake, NY and Russell Johnson of Vermontville, NY, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts & uncles. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and his half brother Harold Paye.
Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Thursday from 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Union Cemetery in Vermontville in May.
