Terri Lynn Hoyt, 46, of 99 Washington St. Tupper Lake died Friday at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.
Born November 19, 1964, she was the daughter of Phyllis (Woods) Tvorak and James Tvorak and the grand-daughter of Wilber and Mae Woods. She had a daughter, Elizabeth Mae Tvorak on November 11, 1990 and on July 15, 1996 she married Alfred J Hoyt in a private ceremony at her grandparent’s lake side camp on Little Wolf.
Terri was born in Orléans, France on the United States Air Force Base. She traveled from place to place with the air force until she graduated from Lansingburg High School in Troy in 1983. After graduation she joined the greyhound racing business that took her to Wisconsin, New Hampshire and Connecticut. She continued her work there until Elizabeth turned four and she decided to settle down in Tupper Lake to help her mother take care of her grandparents. A family friend, Roger Sullivan gave her a job at the Oval Wooden Dish (O.W.D.) and that is where she met Alfred and later married him. In August 2007, after hearing the O.W.D. would close its doors; she became a housekeeper for Sunmount DDSO. She was a loving mother and a devoted wife and friend to many. In her free time she loved to fish and to kayak out on the lake.
Terri is survived by her husband of 15 years, Alfred Hoyt; her daughter, Elizabeth Tvorak; her mother and father, Phyllis (Woods)Tvorak of Delavan, Wisconsin and James Tvorak, of Wasilla,Alaska; her siblings, Richard Tvorak and Judi Ciani of Latham, NY, Cheryl Futia and her husband Vincent of Guilderland, NY, and Mae Mohr and her husband Robert of Delavan, Wisconsin. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. We would also like to recognize Alfred’s parents and siblings who were there for Terri; John and Lynda Hoyt, Sylvia Trudeau, Wesley and Cindy Hoyt, and close personal friends and their children.
