Ruth Gryger, age 89, of 215 French Road, Saranac, died Monday, May 07, 2012 at 215 French Road
Born in Leipzig, Germany on April 02, 1923, she was the daughter of Wener and Marie (Schuster) Haltenhof. Ruth married Henry Gryger in Long Island, NY in 1960. He predeceased her August 24, 1999.
She loved to swim, read books, and listen to music.
She is survived by one daughter Isabelle Korony of Paul Smiths, NY, one son George Gryger of Saranac, NY, one sister Karla Wenedel of Germany, four grandchildren Emily, Daniel, Madeline, and Allison. She was preceded in death by her father and mother.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday May 10, 2012 at Assumption of Mary Church in Redford, NY, with Rev. Donald Kreymborg officiating. Burial will follow in Assumption of Mary Cemetery.
