James Grose

TUPPER LAKE- James A. Grose, 81, of Underwood Rd. , Tupper Lake, passed away, Sunday, March 20, 2011 at his home. Born on August 24, 1929 in Little Falls, NY, he was the son of Bertrand and Thelma (Paul) Grose. Jim was a veteran of WWII and married the former Lorraine LaMora on February 27, 1978. Jim worked for the state for 30 years retiring from Sunmount DDSO in 1979. He enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling with Lorraine. He is survived by his wife Lorraine, one son James of Framingham, MA, 4 stepdaughters; Bonnie Godin of Slidell, LA., Pamela Lauzon of Macedon, NY, Debra Soucy and Joy Simmons of Tupper Lake. Also surviving are 12 step-grandchildren and 18 step great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by one brother; Paul, three sisters; Betty, Shirley and Sara, two stepsons; Stephen LaGray and Daniel LaGray. There will be no calling hours, a graveside service will be held in the spring. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider High Peaks Hospice.
