Ann M. Grant, age 81, of 14 Kiwassa Dr., Saranac Lake, died Thursday, August 6, 2009 at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.
Born in Saranac Lake, New York on July 9, 1928, she was the daughter of Alexander and Violet (Duprey) Aubin.
Ann was a life-long resident of Saranac Lake and had worked at Newberry's Department Store and the Saranac Lake Grove Factory. She was a communicant of St. Luke's Church. Her favorite activity was bingo.
Ann married John Grant December 6, 1959 in New York City. He died April 10, 1997. She is survived by two daughters: Chrysolite Grant of Saranac Lake and Holly Grant of Glens Falls, two sons: Terrance Aubin of Columbus, GA and John Grant of Saranac Lake, two brothers: Alex Aubin and Noris Aubin, three sisters: Janice Bombard, Mary Ohmann and Hallie Ohmann all of Saranac Lake, 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Alexander Aubin, and her mother Violet Duprey Aubin.
Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9PM. The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11AM at St. Luke's Church with Father Carlos Caguiat officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery in Saranac Lake.
