Genevieve M. Goff, 89, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by the love of her family on Tuesday, January 17, 2017.
Gen was born in Hoosick Falls, NY to the late Stephen and Sophia (Mizereviciute) Zareski on January 30, 1927.
She worked as a clerk for the American Management Association until her retirement in 1982. Gen had been an avid bowler, a seamstress, an excellent cook, an artist, an animal lover and a gardener, but her greatest achievement is the warm and loving home she provided as a wonderful mother.
She is survived by her son Steven Goff of Bloomingdale, her son Jeffrey Goff and his wife, Anne, of West Sand Lake, her daughter Victoria Baldwin of Vermontville, her daughter Teresa Walsh of Summerfield, FL, her sister Helen Brust of Hoosick Falls, 6 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband Charles Baldwin, her husband Robert, and two sons, Charles Robert Baldwin and Douglas Robert Goff.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. There will be no calling hours. A mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday January 20, 2017 at St. Paul’s Oratory in Bloomingdale with Rev. Patrick Ratigan officiating. Burial will take place in Union Cemetery in the spring.
