TUPPER LAKE-
Raymond Godin, 68, of Tupper Lake died unexpectedly Wednesday, November 7th at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake. Born in Tupper Lake on November 23, 1943, he was the son of Thomas and Hellen (Veivia) Godin. Raymond graduated from Holy Ghost Academy. He started work at the age of sixteen at the Grand Union, he was also employed at Top's and Shaheen's IGA. Ray was a member of the Tupper Lake Volunteer Fire Dept and was also a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 640. He is survived by his three sons; Chad, Roy and his wife Anne-Marie, Scott and his companion Stephanie all of Quebec, Canada, four grandchildren; Evelyne, David, Allyson and Laurie, two sisters; Theresa LaMare and her husband Lee and Leona Kavanagh, both of Tupper Lake. Also surviving are three brothers; Steve and his companion Mary-Anne of Tupper Lake, David of Baldwinsville and Gerald of Louisiana and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his parents and two brothers, Fred and Ronald. Calling hours are scheduled for Friday, November 9th from 4 to 8 pm at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tupper Lake Volunteer Fire Dept or Rescue Squad.
