Rose M. Glover, age 76, of 302 Lake Street, Saranac Lake, died Sunday, March 09, 2014 at Adirondack Medical Center.
Born in Saranac Lake, New York on March 23, 1937, she was the daughter of Spencer and Stella Marie (Delcour) Branch. Rose married Thomas Glover on October 13, 1956 at St. Bernard's Church in Saranac Lake.
Rose had been a life long resident of Saranac Lake. She was a member of the Saranac Lake Moose Club, V.F.W. Women’s Auxiliary and the Saranac Lake Elks Club BPOE 1508. Rose was an avid reader, enjoyed camping, tending to her flowers, and she especially loved cooking.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years Thomas Glover of Saranac Lake, two daughters Donna Glover of Saranac Lake and Debra Stafford and her husband William of Earlton, one son Thomas Glover and his wife Teresa of Saranac Lake, three brothers Harlan Branch of Saranac Lake, Jerome “Champ” Branch of Saranac Lake and Augustine “Gus” Branch of Oswego and one sister Louise Wilcox of Saranac Lake. She is also survived by six grandchildren; Amanda Boomhwer, Carl Boomhower and his wife Marisa, Jared Wells and his companion Larissa Morse, Rachel Wells and her companion Tommy Bleau, Mary Margaret and Nora Rose Glover, 12 great grandchildren, Thomas, Alyssa, Nicholas, Lilianna, Adalina, Chase, Tyler, Mason, Evelyn Rose, Adisyn, Trevor and Cody and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, one sister Mary Branch Miller and six brothers Roland, Richard, Marshall, Donald, Joseph, and George.
Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Friday, March 14, 2014 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:00 PM on Saturday March 15, 2014 at St. Bernard's Church, with Rev. Mark Reilly officiating. Burial will take place at St. Bernard Cemetery in Saranac Lake in the spring.
