Margaret Gedroiz

Margaret A. Gedroiz, age 70, of 29 Margaret Street, Saranac Lake, NY died Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at her home.

Born in Saranac Lake, New York on August 11, 1939, she was the daughter of Clarence and Madeline (Parmeter) Wilson. She married Dr. Anthony Gedroiz who predeceased her in 1975.

Mrs. Gedroiz was a lifelong resident of Saranac Lake. She was employed at the AMC- Hospital for several years. Prior to that she opened and operated Wells News Stand in Saranac Lake for many years. She enjoyed cooking, music and crafts.

She is survived by two daughters Linda Branch and her husband Larry of Saranac Lake, NY, Terri Kilner and husband Alain Dumais of Saranac Lake, NY, two sons Chris Kilner and his wife Joanne of Saranac Lake, NY, and Gary Kilner of Saranac Lake, NY, one step-daughter Lori Kilner-Khouri and her husband Stephen of Charleston, SC; seven grandchildren Lacey and Lance Branch, Cayla Martin, Shannon, Dylan and Dakota Kilner all of Saranac Lake, and Easton Khouri of Charleston, SC and two great grandchildren Chris Martin and Drew Konkoski. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Donald Wilson.

Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Thursday, September 17, 2009 from 2PM -4PM and 6PM - 8PM.. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home, with Rev. Andrea Sears officiating. Burial will follow at North Elba Cemetery in Lake Placid.
