Angie M. Frizzell, age 88, of Saranac Lake, died Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Elderwood of Uihlein at Lake Placid.
Born in Somerville, Massachusetts on April 11, 1933, she was the daughter of Eli and Irene (Walsh) Marks. Angie married Howard “Rusty” Frizzell on December 18, 1955 at St. Joseph’s Church in Somerville, MA.
Angie worked at Uihlein Mercy Center for 35 years as a CNA where everyone who saw her said she was a hard worker and very kind. She loved writing letters and cards, reading, meeting the McDonalds crew for breakfast and having lunch with her old co-workers. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren. She will forever be our loving mom, wife, friend and Nana.
She is survived by her husband Rusty Frizzell of Saranac Lake, Two sons Alan (Grace) Frizzell of Lake Placid, and Steven Frizzell of Saranac Lake, and two daughters Sue (Butch) Blanchard of Saranac Lake and Sharon Branch and her fiancé Mario of North Kingstown, RI. She is also survived by her six grandchildren Ryan (Nikita) Blanchard of Bloomingdale, Kelsey (Dave) Mathis of Lake Clear, Emily Branch of Providence, RI, Maxine (Jerry) Girard of Port St. Luci, Florida, Adrianne Frizzell of Adams and Alex Frizzell of Charlotte, NC, seven great grandchildren Georgia and Mabel Mathis, Remington Blanchard, Bentley, Roman, Macen, and Silas Girard, many nieces, nephews and family in Boston, MA, most especially her cherished and much loved sister Nancy and her “adopted” daughter Tammy Pelletieri.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:00 noon on Tuesday October 19, 2021 at St. Bernard's Church, with Fr. Patrick A. Ratigan officiating. Burial will be private and take place at the convenience of the family in St. Bernard’s Cemetery in Saranac Lake.
