TUPPER LAKE- Rena B. Foote, 84, of Tupper Lake, died Friday, February 6, 2009 at AMC Mercy Center in Tupper Lake where she had resided since September 2001. Born on May 29, 1924 in Tupper Lake, she was the daughter of Archie and Josephine (Barrette) Gaudet. She was a graduate of Holy Ghost Academy. On August 6, 1946 she married Roy Charles Foote at St. Alphonsus church. Mrs. Foote worked for a time at Corneau’s family market, Grand Union and later as head book keeper for Ginsberg’s dept store. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Ste Anne’s society and the Adirondack Adult Center. She enjoyed bowling with the ladies bowling league, playing cards with friends and spending time with her grandchildren. She and her husband were volunteers with Meals on Wheels. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, a daughter Patricia Varden and her husband Patrick of Tupper Lake, a son Wayne and his wife Nancy of Tupper Lake, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and a dear friend Aluva Marconi of Texas. She was pre-deceased by three brothers, Francis, Raymond and Howard and one sister MaryAnne. Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 9 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 8pm. with the Rev. Kris Lauzon officiating.
