Eva Florian

Eva Florian, age 59, passed away unexpectedly on June 7, 2015. She is survived by her daughter, Liza Haines; sister and brother-in-law, Monica and Roy Slaunwhite; brothers, Alexander Kristof and Ed Randig; nieces and nephews, Alexa, Eben, Zane, Kelsey, Tyler, and Olivia; as well as many cousins. She was predeceased by her mother, Gloria Kristof and her sister, Denise Florian. She went to school at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts and later in life attended North Country Community College for her LPN. Eva was passionate about horticulture, the humane treatment of animals, theatre, and outdoor activities such as kayaking. She will always be remembered for her vibrant personality and free spirit.

A graveside service and time of sharing and remembrance will take place at North Elba Cemetery in Lake Placid on Friday, June 12 at 2:00 PM. There will be no calling hours. There will be a memorial service held later in the summer, date to be announced. The family extends special thanks to the Saranac Lake Volunteer Rescue Squad and the caring staff at Adirondack Medical Center.
