Margaret Fleming

Margaret T. Fleming, age 89, of 78 Will Rogers Drive, Saranac Lake, died on Friday April 23, 2010 at Adirondack Medical Center.

Born in Woodside, New York on August 29, 1920, she was the daughter of James and Mary(Campbell) Reilly. She married Earl W. Fleming on August 20, 1942 in Woodside, New York. He predeceased her on May 16, 1989.

Margaret Fleming had been resident of Saranac Lake for 9 years, and a resident of Flushing, New York for over 60 years. She worked for the NYC Health and Hospital Corp. for 20 years. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and volunteered for many years at the Ozanam Nursing Home in Queens N.Y.

She enjoyed playing cards, traveling and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her sons William Fleming and his wife Linda of Merrick, NY, Richard Fleming of Schenectady, NY, and Timothy Fleming of Amsterdam, NY, Daughters-in-Law, Lee Fleming of Brewster NY and Cindy Fleming of Seaford NY, six grandchildren Matthew, Allison, Ryan, Lauren, and Katelyn and Breanne. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, sister Mary Keating and son James E. Fleming .

Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Sunday April 25, 2010 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. A bible vigil service will take place on Sunday afternoon at 3:45 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:00PM on Monday April 26, 2010 at St. Bernard's Church in Saranac Lake with Rev. Thomas Kornmeyer officiating. Burial will take place at Calverton National Cemetery in Long Island.
