Patrick Arthur Finnegan, age 71, of Bloomingdale, NY died Friday, February 21, 2014 at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.
Born in Saranac Lake, New York on November 09, 1942, he was the son of Arthur Leo and Helen (Gardner) Finnegan.
Patrick attended and graduated from Saranac Lake High School in 1960 and later attended Plattsburgh State University. Patrick had been employed at Cold Spring Harbor School District as a teacher, coach and mentor. Upon retirement he returned to his childhood home in Bloomingdale, NY where he continued to enjoy the Adirondacks as an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by one brother Timothy Finnegan and his wife Joanne of Saratoga Springs, one sister Adele McGowan of Middlebury, VT, two nephews Michael McGowan of San Marino, CA, and Timothy McGowan of Lincoln, VT, two nieces Jennifer Finnegan McCafferty of Chapel Hill, NC, and Cammeron Finnegan McLaughlin of Ross, CA, and 10 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and mother.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will take place at the convenience of the family.
