Scott A. Fenton, age 55, of Saranac Lake, died Monday, September 19, 2022 at his home following a long courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts on December 7, 1966, he was the son of Robert and Cynthia (Davis) Fenton. Scott married Michelle Lorette on September 6, 1997 in Lake Placid, NY.

Scott had worked for Hyde Fuel Company for over 20 years until present time as a service technician. Prior to that he had served in the United States Navy Seabees as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He continued to serve in the Navy Reserve for 21 years until his retirement from the military in 2008. Scott was a member of the Saranac Lake Veterans Memorial Association, he loved camping and was an avid New England sports fan, Red Sox, Patriots, Boston Bruins and the Boston Celtics. He was also a big Syracuse University Basketball team fan. Scott really enjoyed reading books about the military and past wars. He also loved watching all the old war movies as well.

He is survived by his wife Michelle, one son Michael and his fiancé Heather Lendza of Jay, one daughter Briana and her fiancé Colby Kingsbury of Rainbow Lake, one granddaughter Taylor Fenton, his sister Janet (John) Hymans of Boca Raton, FL, his brother Keith (Krista) Fenton of Lake Placid and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Nancy Fenton of Schuyler Falls. He was preceded in death by his father and mother.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A celebration of life will take place at a later date to be announced.
