Daniel C. Farrell, age 75 of Seattle, Washington entered eternal rest on Saturday February 11, 2023. He had been in ill health the last couple of years, suffering from dementia.
Daniel was born on October 12, 1947 the son of Harold O. and Catherine E. Farrell in Plattsburgh, NY. He became a welder and ventured out West where he joined and became a member of the United Association Local 32 Plumbers and Pipefitters, where he accomplished 50 years of service in the industry before his retirement. He worked on the Alaskan Pipeline and enjoyed his world travels and teaching welding overseas. He loved the Pacific Northwest, the Midwest and the Adirondack Mountains where he grew up and would come home to spend time with his family.
Daniel was preceded in death by his father Harold O. Farrell, his first wife Martha A. Bero, his step-father Francis L. Roberts, his mother Catherine E. Roberts and his brother Thomas H. Farrell.
Daniel is survived by his wife Elizabeth and their two children Oliver and Ethan; his children: Anthony (Michelle), Amy, Matthew (Gina), Rebecca, Jason, Jeremy and Sara; a God daughter Cary Bero. Daniel is also survived by twenty grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A sister Kathleen (James) and brothers: John, Harold and Richard (Robyn).
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home, 20 Church Street, Saranac Lake, NY 12983. Calling hours are scheduled for Friday March 3, 2023 from 3:00pm until 6:00pm at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday March 4, 2023 at 1:00pm at St. Bernard’s Church in Saranac Lake, NY with the Reverend Martin Cline officiating. Burial will take place in the Spring at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery in Alder Brook, NY.
