Mary Lynne Duprey, age 79, of Saranac Lake, died Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Elderwood of Uihlein at Lake Placid where she had been a resident for the past 4 years.

Born in Saranac Lake, New York on August 15, 1943, she was the daughter of John Ralph and Vera Jean (Bourne) Daunais. Mary Lynne married Anthony L. Duprey, Sr. on August 18, 1962 at St. Bernard’s Church in Saranac Lake.

Mary was a lifelong resident of Saranac Lake and had been employed at the American Management association for many years. She later went to work for the New York State Department of Corrections as the Watch Commander’s Secretary at Camp Gabriels for several years until her retirement. Mary was an avid bowler and gardener. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Tony Dupery, Sr. of Saranac Lake, one son Anthony (Ann Marie) Duprey, Jr. of Vermontville, and one daughter Penny Duprey of Saranac Lake, two brothers John Daunais of Plattsburgh and Rodney (Roberta) Daunais of Utica, two sisters Pamela Pion of Plattsburgh, and Patricia Coventry of Saranac Lake, six grandchildren, one great grandson and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A graveside service will take place at the convenience of the family at St. Bernard’s Cemetery in Saranac Lake.
