TUPPER LAKE- Robert J. Dreslinski Sr., 47, 0f Tupper Lake, passed away peacefully, Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Fletcher Allen Healthcare in Burlington, Vt. Robert was born in Toledo, Oh on October 10, 1961, the son of Francis and Irene Dreslinski. After graduating High School, Robert enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served as a cook. While in the Army he met his first wife, Korina Sovey. After moving to Tupper Lake, he enrolled in Paul Smith's Culinary Arts Program. After graduation as a chef, he worked in kitchens of many area restaurants. In 1999 he started employment at Sunmount DDSO where he remained employed until his death. Robert was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He loved music and was a DJ for several years in the Tupper Lake area. His out-going personality made friends wherever he went. He was a former member of the Piercefield Volunteer Fire Dept. He was especially fond of family get-togethers. Survivors include his parents, his wife Amy (Tarbox) Dreslinski, daughter Rosa of Plattsburgh, sons Robert Jr. of Keeseville, Russell and Nicholas of Tupper Lake, four grandchildren, Rheannon, Kyle, Derek and Kolby, he is also survived by seven brothers and sisters, Frank, Deborah Herzog, Helen (Dan) Aiello, Valerie (Dave) Etzel, Dorothy (Dale) Baily, Michael (Kelly) and Thomas all of Toledo, Oh., and his in-laws, Alan and Cheryl Tarbox and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may celebrate Robert's life at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 29, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial is scheduled for Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Name Church with the Rev. Kris Lauzon officiating. In remembrance of Robert, contributions may be made to the Piercefield vol. Fire company or the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in Burlington, Vt.
