Timothy J. Doyle, age 57, of 9 Merrill Street, Saranac Lake, died Wednesday, November 07, 2012.

Born in Saranac Lake, New York on May 17, 1955, he was the son of Edward and Elizabeth (Dupree) Doyle. Timothy married Robin Gilbert on July 14, 1984 in Saranac Lake.

Tim had been employed by the New York State Department of Corrections at the Adirondack Correctional Facility until his retirement in September. Tim also had been a caretaker for 7 camps and was well know as a boat builder for his Adirondack Guide boats. Tim was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, ice fishing, and golfing. He loved racing his guide boats and was the Silver Cup winner for many consecutive years at the Willard Hamner guide Boat races. Tim will be especially remembered for his great story telling abilities.

He is survived by his wife Robin of Saranac Lake, two daughters Ashley Doyle and her fiancé Zachary Blair and Emily Doyle both of Saranac Lake, his mother Elizabeth Doyle of Saranac Lake, two brothers James Doyle of Seattle, WA and Patrick Doyle of Plattsburgh, three sisters Donna Doyle of Saranac Lake, Megan Doyle of Seattle, WA, and Kelley Doyle of Saranac Lake, one granddaughter Chloe Blair of Saranac Lake and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and one sister Shannon Eileen Doyle.

Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Sunday, November 11, 2012 from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:00 PM on Monday November 12, 2012 at St. Bernard's Church. Burial will follow in North Elba Cemetery in Lake Placid.
