Shirley Dinsmore, age 84, of Saranac Lake died Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at the AMC-Uihlein Mercy Living Center in Lake Placid where she had been a resident since 2007.
Born in Sugarbush, New York on March 21, 1930, she was the daughter of Gordon and Marie (Tuthill) Skiff.
Shirley had been employed by the Saranac Lake Central School District at the Bloomingdale Elementary School for many years working in the kitchen and housekeeping dept. During the summers, Shirley also worked at the J.J. Newberrys Store in Saranac Lake. Shirley was an avid Jets fan and cook. She also enjoyed sewing and crochet.
She is survived by one daughter Lori Dinsmore of Saranac Lake.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A graveside service will take place at 10:00 AM on Saturday October 18, 2014 at the Merrillsville Cemetery in Loon Lake.
