Marcel Dimorier

January 3, 1953 — October 9, 2008

Marcel (Skip) Dimorier went to be with his Lord and Saviour October 9, 2008 at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake, NY surrounded by love from his family. He will be remembered by all for his valiant fight with cancer. Skip’s kind heart and gentle ways led him to a lifetime of caring and helping others. He will be missed by those who were blessed to have known him.

Skip was born January 3, 1953 in Sidney, New York to Gordon Elton Dimorier and Wilhma Jones Dimorier. He graduated from Sidney Central High School, class of 1971, and then joined the Air Force. Skip served his country for twenty years being stationed in many parts of the world. He met and married Chantra Sridarwan in Korat,Thailand. He was preceded in death two years ago by his wife of 33 years. They have five children and two grandchildren; Daughter, JoAnn Dimorier, Goldsboro, NC; Daughters & Sons-in-law, Diane & 2nd Lt Richard Palz, Naval Air Station Whiting Field, FL, Jane & Rex Sims, Abilene, TX; Sons, Bert Dimorier, Abiline, TX, and Joe Dimorier, Las Vegas, NV; Grandchildren, Tyler Grady, NAS Whiting Field, FL and Lexi Dimorier, Goldsboro, NC. Skip is also survived by his Sisters and Brothers-in-law; Twin sister Cookie & Earl Polster, Sidney, NY, Suzanne & George Titus, Tolland, CT, Cherie & Don Duso, Saranac Lake, NY and Sandra & Bill DeCocker, Sidney Center, NY.

Surviving as well are many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. Regretfully, Skip also leaves behind his fiancé, Willowan Wongwareethip, in Bangkok, Thailand.

Skip retired from the Air Force as a TSGT in 1991 from Seymour Johnson AFB in Goldsboro, NC. He and his family became permanent residents of Goldsboro where the children attended school and Skip entered the civilian work force. Employment at Mount Olive Pickle Company added another dimension to his life. He enjoyed meeting new people and making many new friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Circle Drive Alliance Church in Sidney, NY on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tri Town Relay for Life c/o Fortune-Keough Funeral Home, 20 Church Street, Saranac Lake, NY 12983.
