William Decker

William R. Decker (“Will” or “Bill”), age 93, of Longwood, FL, formerly of Saranac Lake, NY, passed away on Saturday October 22, 2022.

William was born in Jersey City, NJ on May 13, 1929 the son of Emil and Katherine (Seufer) Decker and spent his career as a self-employed business professional.

William is survived by his wife Bonnie (Spinner) Decker, his sons: William G. (MaryEllen) Decker, Robert Decker, both of Saranac Lake, NY; Emil “Guy” (Kristina) Decker of Lake Stevens, WA and James (Lisa) Decker of Nashville, TN. His daughters: Virginia Decker (John) Francis of Mapleton, UT and Carrie (Lester) Entz of Jersey Shore, PA. William is also survived by his brother John Decker of Saranac Lake, NY as well as 15 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren.

William was predeceased in death by his mother and father, his son Charles Thomas Decker, his daughter Katherine Decker Gleason and his sister Kathleen Decker Friend.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home, 20 Church Street, Saranac Lake, NY 12983. Calling hours are scheduled for Thursday October 27, 2022 from 9:00am until 11:00am at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Thursday October 27, 2022 at 12:00 noon at St. Bernard’s Church with the Reverend Martin Cline officiating. Burial will be immediately following the service in St. Bernard’s Cemetery.
