Kerrie Daviau

Kerrie Ann Daviau, age 62, of Vermontville, died Monday, January 18, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family following a long illness.

Born in Queens, New York on August 15, 1958, she was the daughter of Francis and Carol (Egloff) Green. Kerrie married Mark Daviau August 13th, 1988 in Franklin Falls, NY.

Kerrie has been a resident of the Saranac Lake area since 1985 and had been employed as a Teacher’s Assistant for the Saranac Lake Central School District for several years in the Elementary, Middle and High School. She was a loving mother who always put her family above everything. Kerrie was also a master gardener who loved cross country skiing and walking in the woods with her family. She was strong willed with a biting sense of humor until her final days.

She is survived by her husband Mark of Vermontville, and her three children, daughter Kierstin (Terry Tang) Daviau of Tauranga, son Wyatt T. (Tanvi) Daviau of Wilmington, Delaware, and Sienna Daviau of New York, New York. She is also survived by her mother Carol Green of Ardsley, NY, one brother Charles (Natasha) Green of Lagrangeville, NY and one sister Rita (Steven) Ruotolo of Westchester, NY and several nieces and nephews. Kerrie was predeceased by her father Francis Green.

Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake, NY on Thursday January 21, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM at St. Bernard’s Church in Saranac Lake on Friday January 24, with Rev. Martin Cline officiating. Burial will take place in St. Rose Cemetery in Alder Brook in May. Family and friends attending in person calling hours and funeral services are asked to please follow all COVID-19 recommendations including social distancing and wearing a mask. Due to extenuating circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic the Daviau family understands that it may make it difficult to attend calling hours and funeral services in person. For those unable to attend the funeral service will also be webcast on Fortune-Keough Funeral Homes Facebook page.
