Margaret M. Cote, 84, of Ballston Lake, NY and formerly of Tupper Lake, NY passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 26, 2009.
Born on July 13, 1924 in Troy, NY, she was the daughter of James and Sarah (Palitsch) Martin.
She graduated from Catholic Central High School. After graduation she worked at the Watervliet Arsenal and later as a telephone operator for the New York Telephone Company. Prior to her retirement in 1988, she worked for Ginsberg’s Department Store in Tupper Lake.
On October 28, 1950, Peg married Emile L. Cote. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to dance.
She is survived by her daughter, Virginia and son-in-law Roy Pfeil and three grandsons, David, Kevin and Brian Pfeil of Ballston Lake, NY.
She is predeceased by her husband, parents, one sister Virginia Martin, and two brothers, James Martin, Jr. and William Martin of Troy, NY.
Calling hours will be Friday, May 29 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Stuart, Fortune, Keough Funeral Home on Cliff Ave., Tupper Lake, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Saturday, May 30 at 10 a.m.
