Lyle Clark

Lyle W. Clark, 69, of Tupper Lake, NY, passed away on Tuesday, November 22 after complications following surgery.

Lyle was born on February 22, 1947 in Chicago, IL.

After graduating from Gustavus Adolphus College, Lyle served in the Navy for five years, achieving the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class. He had a lifelong passion for sailing and was a talented actor, participating in community theater groups throughout his adult life. After moving to Tupper Lake in 2004, he became active with the Pendragon Theater in Saranac Lake. Lyle was an active member of the Ecumenical Council of Saranac Lake and was an energetic supporter and board member. He was very active in the council's latest project, the Samaritan House shelter in Saranac Lake. He also had a real passion for liturgy, and particularly pipe organ music within the church.

Lyle leaves behind a host of friends in Chicago, New Jersey and New York State. He is survived by a niece, Barbara Pflaum and her two sons, Andrew and Steven, and three cousins, Judy, Elaine and Lynn, all of whom still live in the greater Chicago area. Lyle was preceded in death by his sisters Phyllis and Lila and his brother Bruce.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 11th at The Church of St Luke, The Beloved Physician, in Saranac Lake. A memorial service in Philadelphia is being planned for the spring. A private service will be held at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL, where Lyle will be interred along with his brother.
