TUPPER LAKE- Bonita Rose Christian,53, has been lifted from earth and into God's hands on September 2, 2011. She was born February 14, 1958 in Tupper Lake, the daughter of Donald and Barbara (LaVassaur) Drasye. Bonnie grew up in Piercefield and graduated from Tupper Lake High School class of 1976. On June 22, 2006 she married James T. Christian and had resided at 28 Underwood Rd. Bonnie had been employed at Sunmount DDSO for the past 34 years. She is survived by her parents, two sisters, Phyllis Crate and her husband Steve of Tupper Lake, Karen Brownell and her husband James of Piercefield, two brothers, Steven Drasye of Glasco, VA, Donald Drasye and his wife Becky of Wilmington. One son William Gilson and his girlfriend Chelsea Rolley of Tupper Lake. Also surviving is one niece Lorie LaTray and family of Tupper Lake and nephews Michael Drasye of Florida and Jeremy Drasye of Piercefield. Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 5 from 1 to 4 pm at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial is scheduled for Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Name Church.
