Mrs. Eva Chartrand 92 of United Nursing Home, Ogdensburg NY peacefully passed away Thursday December 15th 2011. Eva was born September 22nd, 1919. Eva was the daughter of William and Nora (Pelkey) Oshier of Tupper Lake.

Eva married Hector Chartrand in 1951. Mrs. Chartrand spent most of her life in Tupper Lake. She loved Bingo and shopping. She worked at Tupper Lake Dress factory, Major Rod but best known from her Custard stand on Moody Rd. and the Clearview Restaurant which she and her husband Hector owned.

She was predeceased by parents William and Nora Oshier her son Jerry Amell, Her husband Hector Chartrand, a brother William Oshier; 5 Sisters Hazel Lansberry , Viola Drew, Lila Clark, Dora LaBounty, Clara Bishop.

She is survived By a daughter June Powers of Tupper Lake; 2 Sister s Beulah Bombard of Tupper Dorothy Livernois of Highland Nursing Home Massena; 8 Grandchildren John & Catherine Amell of Heuvelton NY, Donna & Scott King of Montreal MO, Bruce Amell of Piercfield, Lisa & Kevin Parker of Ridgeland SC, Mike & Deb Powers of Odenton MD, Maureen Petrie of Boonville NY, Matt& Claire Powers of Woodstock GA and Marc & Cindy Powers of Tupper Lake. 20 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great- Great Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews.

Calling hours will be at Stuart- Fortune- Keough Funeral Home in Tupper Lake on Tuesday, December 20th 2011, 10am-12 with a Funeral Service following immediately. Donations can be made to United Helpers Nursing Home 8101 State Hwy 68, Ogdensburg NY 13669 (Care of Floor F)
