Sandra Cassavaugh, age 66, of Bloomingdale, died Friday, April 08, 2016 at the Emory House in Plattsburgh.

Born in Muskegon, Michigan on January 10, 1950, she was the daughter of John and Barbara (Harrison) Beyrle. Sandra married Peter Cassavaugh on December 29, 1973 in Au Sable Forks.

Sandra attended and graduated from North Country Community College with her degree in Nursing. She worked as an LPN at AMC-Uihlein for several years and also worked as a private duty nurse. She is a veteran of the United States Army, serving for a short time in 1969. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Sandra loved to support the New York Yankees any chance she could.

Her husband, Peter of Bloomingdale, one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Andre Cascio of Highland, NY, and two grandchildren, Sophia and Evan Cascio, survive her.

Sandra is also survived by four sisters: Mary (Martin) Coolidge of Jay, Susan Lawrence (Abie Bombard) of Au Sable Forks, Penny Kilburn of Au Sable Forks, Pam (Chris) Garrow of Jay, New York. Two brothers also survive her: William Booth of California and Timothy (Mona) Booth of Clintonville, New York as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

She was predeceased by her father, mother, and stepfather James Booth, as well as, her sister and brother-in–law, Barbara and Francis Gero, her sister, Thelma Williams, and one brother, James Booth, III.

Calling hours will take place on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM on Wednesday April 13, 2016 at the Fortune –Keough Funeral Home, with Rev. Patrick Ratigan officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery in Bloomingdale.
