Robert "Rob" Byno, III, age 29, of 67 Split Rock Road, Saranac Lake, died Tuesday, January 20, 2009.
Born in West Islip, Long Island, on November 19, 1979, he was the son of Robert and Michele (DeCarr) Byno, Jr.
Rob currently had worked in the family business, Split Rock Refrigeration with his father for many years. He also had been working on his master’s degree and had been teaching chemistry at Plattsburgh State University. Family and friends will especially remember Rob for his love of his 69 Camaro which he had received from his mother and father for his 16 birthday. Rob was a motor sports enthusiast and enjoyed boating, four wheeling, snowmobiling and riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by his father and mother Robert and Michele Byno, Jr. of Saranac Lake, NY, his grandparents Robert and Gloria Byno, Sr. of Saranac Lake, NY and Verick and Martine DeCarr of St. Regis Falls, NY, and several aunts and uncles including; Lois and Don Stunzi of Paul Smiths, NY, Janice Fitzgibbon of Manorville, NY, William and Pat Byno of Saranac Lake, NY, Paul Byno of Saranac Lake, NY, Terry and Linda DeCarr of North Bangor, Ritchie DeCarr of St. Regis Falls, NY, Mickey and Michele DeCarr of Stanton, VA, Danny DeCarr of Chicago, IL, Christopher Stricker of Buffalo, NY, and Karisha DeCarr of Buffalo, NY, and many cousins.
Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Friday, January 23, 2009 from 2PM -4PM and 7PM - 9PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday January 24 2009 at Church of the Assumption in Gabriels, with Rev. Thomas Kornmeyer officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery in Bloomingdale.
