Irene M. Boula Bryant, age 82, formerly of 651 County Route 18, Lake Clear, died Friday, September 25, 2009 at the Franklin County Nursing Home in Malone, NY.
Born in Brushton, New York on August 16, 1927, she was the daughter of Lloyd and Ruby (Clookey) Trushaw.
Irene had been a long time resident of the area and had worked at the Blue Gentian Restaurant for many years.
She is survived by three sons Raymond Boula of Saranac Lake, NY and one sister Harriet Dabault of Loon Lake, NY, 4 Grandchildren Shannon Boula and his wife Mindy of Georgia, Michelle Boula of Georgia, Corina Boula of South Carolina and Jennifer Martinez and her husband Ernest of Cheyenne, Wyoming; 5 Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by seven step-children Larry Patraw and his wife Bonnie of Alexandria Bay, NY, Bonnie Garceau and her husband Gregory of Malone, NY, Gary Patraw and his wife Sharron of New Jersey, Connie Dashno and her husband Terry of Dickenson Center, Donna Suscie and her finance Bruce Ploof of Dickenson Center, Terry Patraw, and his wife Mary Anne of Boise, Idaho, Penny Derkevics, and her husband Peter of Sound Beach Long Island, 18 step-grandchildren, 35 step great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons Frank Boula and Harold Trushaw , two sisters Joyce Fleury and Ruth Collins, her husband Bernard Boula, and Rolland Bryant and her companion for the last 27 years William Patraw.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Saturday, September 3, 2009 from 1PM - 3PM. A memorial service will immediately follow at 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home, with Rev. Thomas Kornmeyer officiating. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Brushton, NY at a later date.
