Gloria Bruso passed away at Mercy Health Care Center in Tupper Lake on August 17, 2010.
She was born on September 16, 1946 in Saranac Lake, New York the daughter of Stearns and Joyce (Baker) Walker.
Gloria loved to camp, fish, frogs, and mere cats. She also loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a great mother, friend and grandmother. She graduated from North Country Community College and went to work at Camp Gabriels. Gloria received many certificates in Introduction to Computers, Resource Development and Mental Hygiene Therapy from Sunmount. She went to work at Pius A.R.C., the Red Cross, and the Saranac Lake Adult Center. Gloria will be truly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her mother Joyce Walker, father, Stearns Walker, brothers Greg Walker, Sr., David Walker, Sr., and Donald Walker and one nephew Jody Walker.
She is survived by her children Kevin Walker and his wife Iva of Saranac Lake, Albert Bruso, Jr. of Saranac Lake, Aaron Bruso of Saranac Lake and Jolene Bruso Tyler of Saranac Lake. She is also survived by her sister Marylyn Walker of Saranac Lake, brother James Walker and his wife Wanda of St. Regis Falls, NY, 7 grandchildren, Shawnie Myatt, Olivia Bruso, Trey Gladd, Colt Bruso, Hunter Trombley, Albert Bruso, III, and Brett Bruso, three sister’s-in-law Emily Walker of Plattsburgh, Patricia Walker of Saranac Lake and Linda Fletcher of Tupper Lake. Also surviving ate several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
