Reginald Brown

Reginald O. Brown, age 63, formerly of Saranac Lake and currently of 112 Teal Lane, Mauldin, SC died Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, SC.

Born in Bloomingdale, New York on October 14, 1949, he was the son of Everett and Mildred (Begor) Brown. He married Kim Ketcham on May 22, 1999 at First United Methodist Church in Saranac Lake.

He had been employed as a radiology Technologist and manager at various hospitals including the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake, Malone Hospital, Laurens County Hospital in Clinton, SC until his retirement in 2012.He is a veteran of the United States Army and Army Reserve. He was the very first student to enroll at North Country Community College when it opened in 1968. He enjoyed playing golf, traveling,fishing, practice shooting, fishing and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Kim of Mauldin, SC, two sons Kurt Brown of Greer, SC and MSgt Michael Brown of Edwards Air Force Base in Callifornia, three step children Keith Burnett and his wife Joanna of Ava, NY, Matthew Burnett and his wife Amy of Saranac Lake, NY, and Melissa Burnett of Ft. Edward, NY, one brother Rod Brown of Franklin Falls, NY, four sisters Cheri Rowland and her husband Joe of Mt. Pleasant, TN, Cathie Neigel of Franklin Falls, Tami Fickas and her husband Steve of Port Orchard, WA, and Pam Blaisdell and her husband Carl of Silverdale, WA, three grandchildren Aerial Brown, Landen Owens, and Corbin Burnett, and many nieces and nephews. His father and mother preceded him in death.

Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home Wednesday February 20, 2013 from 6 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Michael Richard officiating. Burial will follow at Long Lake Cemetery in Long Lake.
