TUPPER LAKE

Paul Dorran Boushie, 64, of Tupper Lake passed away Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Massena hospital. Paul had been a resident of Massena for several years.

Born April 12, 1947 in Tupper Lake he was the son of Richard and Phyllis (McCauley) Boushie. Paul graduated in 1964 from Holy Ghost Academy

and ,did Post Graduate studies at Tupper Lake High School

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1966-69 with the Green Beret Branch at the Panama Canal. He worked in the family construction business with his father and brothers and was owner and manager of the Elite with his partners. Paul went on to work for the Federal Prison in Raybrook and transferred to the Minnesota and Wisconsin Prison systems. He worked at the Sheriffs Dept. in Malone, NY and

operated his own floor sanding business.

At the time of his death he worked for Americ Associates as a Private Investigator in Massena.

He was married to the former Ellen LaBarge of Tupper Lake in November 1977 and was the father of 3 children, Jennifer, Daryl and Sarah Boushie and one grandson, Jude.

He is also survived by his father Richard, his life partner Lurinda LaBrosse, his 10 siblings, Rodney (Cathy Shaheen), Shelley (Rod Nadeau), Cindy (Marc McGill), Scott (Paige Davison), Kent (Cheri Dye), Anne (Scott Martin), Jane (Joe Denis), Steven (Jackie) Peter, and Rita (Randy Burgoyne), as well as 27 neices and nephews. He was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents, Anne and Rod McCauley and Dora and Dorran Boushie, and his mother Phyllis Boushie

Paul loved the outdoors, whether it be hunting, fishing or boating. He also just loved being with his siblings, at all the family flotillas held each July, to all the clambakes and pigroasts held in September. He was #1 clammer and the head steamer..

He participated in all the Tupper Lake Rod and Gun Derbys as well as the Massena Derbys and won his share of money.

He will be missed by Rindy, his entire family, his friends, his co-workers and most of all, by his Dad and his children.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 6th from 3 to 6 pm at the Stuart Fortune Keough Funeral Home in Tupper Lake. A Mass of Christian burial is scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, January 7th, at St. Alphonsus church with a reception to follow in his honor at the K of C.
