Frank L. Bomyea, age 84, formerly of Forest Home Road, died Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at AMC-Uihlein Mercy Center in Lake Placid where he had been a resident since 2002.

Born in Santa Clara, New York on October 28, 1928, he was the son of Charles and Ella (Cobb) Bomyea. Frank married Vernetta Green on June 21, 1953 in Saranac Lake. She predeceased him on October 16, 2004.

Frank had been employed as a Supervisor for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation in Saranac Inn for 44 years until his retirement in 1989. He loved camping with his wife, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his step daughter-in-law Mary Kent of Saranac Lake, NY, four grandchildren Laurie McGill and her husband Andy of Saranac Inn, Sharon Wheeler and her husband Ben of West Lebanon, NY, Eric Kent and his wife Mary of Cheyenne, WY, and Wayne Kent and his wife Missie of Lake Clear, and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, one step son Harrison Kent, three brothers Orman, Leo, and Richard Bomyea and three sisters Mabel Lagree, May Monty and Ruth Rogers, and one grandson Daniel Kent.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will take place on Monday November 5, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Harrietstown Cemetery, with Rev. Michael Richards officiating.
