TUPPER LAKE-Jeannine A. Auger, 77, o f Pleasant Ave. Tupper Lake passed away peacefully on Friday, December 16 at her home. Born August 20, 1934 in Trois-Riveres, Quebec, she was the daughter of Alfred and Rose (Charland) Grimard. She married Henri Auger on December 16, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois. She returned to Montreal for several years before settling in Tupper Lake in 1963. Although her poor eyesight limited her job opportunities, she maintained her home and an independent life style. She enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing and camping during the 70's & 80's with her companion Randy Storrin and many friends. She loved country music and enjoyed playing her guitar with friends at get togethers. She also enjoyed puzzles, bingo, shuffleboard, visiting with friends and was an avid animal lover. She was pre-deceased by her parents, husband and companion Randy. She is survived by her daughter Diane Cote and her husband Edward of Childwold, one sister Denise Genest, nephews, Claude & Michel of Laval, Quebec and many loved cousins in Canada. In the last few years, she had also grown close to a stepson Robert Auger of Missouri and a step daughter Carolyn Williams and her husband Rolla of Kansas. Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 19 from 10 a.m. - 11:45 at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 12 noon at ST. Alphonsus church.
