Mildred Amoriell

TUPPER LAKE-Mildred M. Amoriell, 91, of Tupper Lake, died Sunday, August 1, 2010 at AMC Mercy Center where she had resided the past year. Born on February 5, 1919 in Lyon Mountain, she was the daughter of Fredrick and Ella (Robare) Exware. On September 11, 1937, she married John Amoriell at Holy Name Church by Fr. Fitzpatrick. Mrs. Amoriell worked for a time at Sunmount VA, the Dress Factory and retired in 2008 after working 25 years in the Foster Grandparent program. She is survived by her husband John of 72 years, one son sam and his wife Gloria of Tupper Lake, one daughter Annette Johnson and her husband Peter of Camillus. Three grandchildren; Lynda Lee, Mary Louise Karasek and Stephen Amoriell. Great-grandchildren; Nicholas, Rachel, Christopher and Gavin. Also survivng are several nieces and nephews. Mildred was pre-deceased by five sisters; Elvira, Marjorie, Mable, Blanche and Laura, two brothers; William and Dave. Calling hours are scheduled for Wednesday, August 4, from 10 a.m. - 12:45 pm at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home. A mass of Christian burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Name church.
