Elaine Lapage

Elaine M. LaPage, age 74, of Saranac Lake, NY, passed away on Saturday December 10, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving husband and family.

Elaine was born on October 1, 1948 in Saranac Lake, NY the daughter of Orla and Annie (Hewitt) Converse. She married Gerald LaPage on August 22, 2009 in Saranac Lake, NY.

Elaine grew up in Saranac Lake and worked as a Sales Representative for the American Management Association for over 30 years, retiring in 2008. In her spare time and during retirement, she enjoyed being with her family and grandchildren, she enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and baking, particularly during the holidays.

Elaine is survived by her husband Gerald of Saranac Lake; her children: Donna Henager (John) of GA, Jerry Stewart of Saranac Lake, NY, Tracy Jennings of Syracuse, NY. and her step-daughter Trisha LaPage-Strader (Kurt) of Vermontville, NY. Her sister Lois Mueller of Middleton, MA, her brother Stephen (Marilyn) Converse also of Littleton, MA, and sister-in-law Britney Converse of Flagler, FL. as well as several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Elaine was predeceased by her father and mother, her son Gregory Stewart and her brother Leon Converse.

Funeral Arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home, 20 Church Street, Saranac Lake, NY 12983. At Elaine’s request, there will be no calling hours, services will be private and at the convenience of the family. The family will hold a Celebration of Elaine’s life in the Spring of 2023, date and time to be announced at a later date.
