Ella Hosler, age 93, formerly of 14 Kiwassa Road, Saranac Lake, died Monday, March 8, 2021 at Elderwood of Uihlein at Lake Placid where she had been a resident since 2019.
Born in Saranac Lake, New York on June 4, 1927, she was the daughter of Charles and Alice (St. Germain) Hosler.
Ella was a lifelong resident of and lived in Lake Clear until the late 1980’s when she moved into Saranac Lake.
She is survived by her son Chester Thurber and his wife Linda of Plattsburgh, NY, her daughter Mary Fletcher of Lake Clear, NY, her daughter Ida Horsler of Saranac Lake, NY, her daughter Laura Billmyer and husband Edward of Oklahoma City, OK, her daughter Judy Tyler and Husband Dale of Lake Clear, NY, and many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, mother and three brothers Art, Clarence and Sidney Hosler.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. Calling hours and funeral services will take place at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place at St. Bernard Cemetery in Saranac Lake in the spring.
