Barb was a wonderful part of Saranac Lake's First Presbyterian Church during Rev. John McClester's tenure in the late 70's and 80's. Touby was the choir director and Barb sang alto and kept me in tune. A group of at least 20 young couples and families with children formed and held themed dinners and get togethers. Barb and Touby were so much fun while we played the Dictionary and other games. Soon Barb and Touby adopted their daughter and another couple adopted two children. We were a big, gigantic family. I was new to Saranac Lake then and consider these years some of the happiest in my life. Thank you Barb and Touby for being such compassionate and loving people.

Hearing the Hallelujah Chorus as the finale to Barbara's funeral service brought tears of Joy and sadness to me, as I remembered sitting with her through so many Messiah sing-ins! So much fun being an alto--we only had a range of a few notes to sing! We will miss her kind and generous heart and soul. Love to the family....Beryl

sincere condolences to the Touby family. Barb was a wonderful nurse - compassion was her middle name. She was a bright light in many lives. I was honored to have been her supervisor at High Peaks Hospice in Saranac Lake. Rest in peace 'BLT'
