Randall Richards

January 18, 1952 — September 26, 2020

Randall K. Richards, 68, of 288 Old Military Rd, Lake Placid, NY passed away Saturday September 26 from complications of COPD.

A graduate of Alfred Technical College, Randy spent his career in Construction Management Services working for various firms in the Lake Placid NY region. His most recent project was building a new bridge on US 73 near the US Olympic Ski jump facility.

Randy, and his wife of 28 years, Charlene, co-owned the Blue Moon Bed and Breakfast and hosted people from all over the world. He treated his guests as family and loved sharing life stories over a beer and providing guidance to the many athletic events, trails and places to see in the area. He loved hiking, kyacking and canoeing but more than anything else Randy loved his family, his special circle of close friends and the two labrador retrievers in his life.

Randy is predeceased by his parents Kenneth L. and Muriel P. Richards. Besides his wife Charlene Blind Harlow Richards, survivors include brothers Lee F. Richards of Schylerville, N.Y., Barry A. Richards of Essex, M.A., and Bradley H. Richards of Bluffton, S.C., stepdaughters Kim Stabbings of Tucson, A.Z., Jennifer Clark of Niverville, N.Y, his niece Kaylin Laskowski of Simpsonville, SC and nephews Erik Richards of Bend, O.R., Ian Richards of Vancouver, W.A., and Dr. Bradley G. Richards of Milford, C.T.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home, 20 Church Street, Saranac Lake, NY 12983. There will be no calling hours. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
