Kyle Sorensen

November 1, 1979 — September 27, 2018

On Thursday, September 27, Kyle Jonathan Sorensen, loving son and brother passed away at the age of 38.

Kyle was born on November 1, 1979 in Saranac Lake, New York. He graduated from Saranac Lake High School in 1998. He went on to attend the State University of Fredonia where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Business. Kyle was employed by Hertz as the Manager at the Lake Clear Regional Airport for the past few years.

Kyle was predeceased by his mother Leni earlier this year. He is survived by his father Carl Sorensen Jr. of Saranac Lake, older brother Carl (Sundy) Sorensen III of Tupper Lake, and younger sister Ali (Brandon) McCormick of Lake Placid, his four cherished niece and nephews, Nathan and Rachel Sorensen and Ayden and Eli McCormick, his partner Angela Howard, and her children Ashlyn and Zyler Howard.

Kyle's enthusiasm was endless. His eagerness to live life to its fullest was no secret to anyone who knew him. He spent the majority of his free time attending as many Phish concerts as he could. He was always trying to get friends and family to go along. When he wasn't traveling to a concert, he was busy making this world smile.

Kyle was an adored uncle. At family gatherings, he would spend the entire time with his niece and nephews. Together they created the Smiley Face Corporation, a true meeting of the minds. They spent time designing t-shirts and laying the groundwork for future meetings. The kids would look forward to family time because it meant their uncle Kyle would be there.

For anyone who truly knew Kyle, also knew what a kind-hearted man he was. He was a role model for putting other people first. That is who he was, and he expected others to do the same. Kyle will rest peacefully knowing that people will never forget how he made them feel.

Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake on Thursday October 4, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
