Lucy Evelyn Wilson Dukett, 98, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018 at her home in Sykesville, Maryland.

Born February 16, 1920 in Huntingdon, Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Earnest and Clara (Vondell) Wilson. She spent most of her life as a resident of Saranac Lake, New York.

For many years Mrs. Dukett worked at Saranac Lake’s Will Rogers Hospital in various positions, then later at the Saranac Lake General Hospital (Adirondack Medical Center). Following her graduation from the North Country Community College she worked in their library. In her youth she was a Girl Scout and later was an assistant leader. She was also a charter member of Saranac Lake’s Women's Civic Chamber and a volunteer for over two decades at the Adirondack Medical Center.

Mrs. Dukett was a member of the Church of St. Luke in Saranac Lake. Her pastimes and hobbies included cooking, baking, sewing, knitting, and camping. Lucy enjoyed traveling throughout the United States via trains, planes, and automobiles including two cross country train excursions while in her seventies.

She was predeceased by her husband Herbert Mitchel Dukett to whom she was married from 1936 until his passing in 2006. In 1956 she was predeceased by a daughter, Evelyn Nancy. Three sisters: Gladys Simpson, Lillian Johnson, and Florence Woodward; and five brothers: Norman, Walter, Wilbur, Clarence & Lloyd Wilson also predeceased her.

Mrs. Dukett is survived by her three daughters and their spouses, Patricia and Luman Rockhill of Sykesville, MD; Denise and Michael Caselli of Canandaigua, NY; and Michele and David Boyea of Tupper Lake, NY; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law G. Louise Gardner and Florence Wilson as well as several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home, 20 Church Street, Saranac Lake, N.Y. Thursday, May 24th from 7 - 9 PM and Friday, May 25th from 10 - 11 AM with a Celebration of Life at 11:15. Burial will follow immediately at North Elba Cemetery, 76 Old Military Rd, Lake Placid, NY.
