Mary Neveau

Mary Katharine “Kay” Neveau, age 77, of Canton, NY died Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital in Potsdam.

Born in Saranac Lake, New York on November 08, 1940, she was the daughter of John and Augusta (Still) Pedroni.

Kay was born and raised in Saranac Lake. She was a 1958 graduate of Saranac Lake High School and attended Potsdam State University. She was secretary for UAW Local 465 from 1968 until 1972. She had been employed as a legal secretary for Clements & Ducharme, attorneys, in Canton for 21 years, retiring in 1993 due to poor health.

Kay had been a member and former Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Cretona Chapter in Massena, NY and was a member and a Grand Officer from 1998 - 2000 of the Empire Hermon Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star in Canton. She was an active member of the Head Injury Support Group in Canton and wrote their monthly newsletter. She enjoyed knitting and reading.

She is survived by one brother John Pedroni of Virginia Beach, VA.

Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A graveside service will take place at Pine Ridge Cemetery in the spring.
