Edward B. Elliott, age 77, of 216 Riverside Drive, Saranac Lake, died Saturday, September 19, 2009 at C.V.P.H Medical Center in Plattsburgh, NY
Born in Brooklyn, New York on January 31, 1932, he was the son of Walter and Marguerite (O'Melia) Elliott. He married Doris M. Hart on Nov. 29, 1958. She predeceased him on Feb. 27, 2001.
Mr. Elliott had been a resident of Saranac Lake for many years. Prior to that he had been employed as Personnel Manager for the Maryknoll Foreign Mission in Ossining, NY for many years. Mr. Elliott is a veteran of the United States Army serving in Korea.
He is survived by a brother, David Elliott of Williston, VT, daughters Lynne Elliott of Norwood, MA, Karen Elliott-Grinnell of Sandwich, NH, Son, Mark Elliott of Port Charlotte, FL, grandson Liam Grinnell of Sandwich, NH. He was preceded in death by his parents .
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will take place at 10:00 AM on Saturday October 3, 2009, at St. Agnes Church in Lake Placid with Rev. Morgan officiating.
