Christopher James Riani
Christopher James Riani, age 57, of Saranac Lake, died Friday, June 02, 2017.

Born in Lowville, New York on May 31, 1960, he was the son of Richard and Joan (Sweatt) Riani.

Christopher was a creative entrepreneur who owned and operated many successful businesses. Leaving the corporate world behind, he settled in the Adirondacks where he established Falling Leaf Properties, Inc. He had a passion for the arts, loved music and was a classically trained chef. He led a grateful and adventurous life. Christopher was a spiritual man who traveled the world, immersing himself in nature and culture in his lifelong quest for knowledge.

Christopher’s love and pride for his children was immeasurable. He was most content sharing his lust for life with his family and closest friends who brought him endless joy. Whether it was swimming, skiing, camping, hiking or just sitting by the fire laughing and loving life. He was a teacher and a true comedian, who kept a loving home full of great enjoyment and care where all were welcomed.

Christopher’s daily affirmation was to “Give thanks for life every day” and “Praise to the most High!”
He is survived by one daughter Jenna M. Riani of Ballston Spa, one son Michael P. Riani and his companion Devon Delay of Ballston Spa, his mother Joan Riani of Plattsburgh, one brother Richard P. (Judy) Riani of Albugh, VT, one sister Maria (Raymond) Alexander of Plattsburgh, and one aunt and two uncles Susan and Bill Turner of Keeseville and Msgr. Peter Riani of Willsboro.
