Mildred Teresa Tyler, age 93, of Tyler Road, Vermontville, died Thursday, April 14, 2016 at her home
Born in West Chazy, New York on February 05, 1923, she was the daughter of John and Eva May (Blaney) Recor. Mildred married Owen Tyler July 17, 1943 in West Chazy. He predeceased her in 1973.
Mildred worked for the Saranac Lake Central School District for many years as a cook until her retirement. She enjoyed crocheting.
She is survived by one son Jerry (Lorraine) Tyler of Youngsville, NC, two daughters Betty (Charles) Gallo Lake Placid, Joyce Butterfield of Keene, NH, two Grandchildren and three Great Grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Alan, one brother John Recor and one son-in-law Richard.
Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Sunday April 17, 2016 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday at the funeral home with Pastor David Drake officiating. Burial will be at West Chazy Rural Cemetery.
