Lois G. (Martin) Faulkner, of Saranac Lake New York passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 15, 2015. She was 89.

Born in Ossining, New York on April 9, 1926, she was the daughter of Raymond and Muriel (Churchill) Martin. Lois married Gene Faulkner on September 26, 1948 in Montgomery, New York and had two children together. Lois was predeceased by her husband on January 6, 1991.

Lois had been a resident of Saranac Lake, New York for the past five years after relocating from Pine Bush, New York. Lois retired as the secretary for the Director of Mental Health, for the New York State Department of Mental Hygiene located at Mid-Hudson Psychiatric Center.

Lois was loved by everyone for her kindness, generosity, love for animals and her sense of humor. Lois was a loyal donor to the Humane society.

Lois is survived by her son, Richard Faulkner and his wife Barbara of Saranac Lake, her daughter Marilyn Faulkner and her fiancee Dennis of West Palm Beach, Fl. and Rock Hill, New York; two grandsons Ryan Faulkner and Kenneth Faulkner along with his wife Joy and her great-granddaughters Mackenzie and Kendall of Greenville, New York. In addition She was predeceased by her brother Raymond Martin and her sister June Anderson.

Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake, New York on Friday, August 21, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A memorial service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home, Inc, with
